Title:
THIN-FILM TRANSISTOR ARRAY SUBSTRATE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH03121421
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent the switching function of the thin-film transistor (TFTR) array from being impaired by the shorting or disconnection of one piece of the TFTR by connecting 4 pieces of the TFTRs in series and parallel to the intersected point of a gate bus line and a drain bus line. CONSTITUTION:Four pieces of the TFTRs T11, T12, T21, and T22 are disposed at the intersected point of the gate bus line (i) and drain bus line (j). The TFTRs T11 and T12 are connected in series to the TFTR T21 and T22 and the drain electrodes of the TFTRs T11, T12 are connected to the drain bus line. The source electrodes of the TFTRs T21 and T22 are connected to one electrode of the display pixel capacity CLC of the electrode and counter electrodes are commonly connected to the other pixel. The switching function of the TFTR array is maintained in this way even if one of the TFTRs T11, T12, T21, and T22 is shorted or disconnected.
