PURPOSE: To prevent the slack of a thread from occurring when switching from a full bobbin to a vacant bobbin by accelerating the rotation speed of a winding bobbin holder by 0.1W2.0% directly prior to the thread switching operation then switching to a vacant bobbin.
CONSTITUTION: When the winding of a bobbin holder 5 reaches a predetermined quantity, the output from a controller 14 is gradually increased and is inputted to an inverter 10', the control power of the frequency and voltage in response to the signal from the inverter 10 is fed to a motor 9, and holder 5' is accelerated to a preset speed. At a predetermined time after a motor 9' is activated, turret rotating motor 11 is activated by the output of a sequence controller 13. At the same time, a control signal augmented by 0.1W2.0% is applied to the inverter 10 from the controller 14 to accelerate the rotation speed of the bobbin holder 5, the winding tensile force is increased to activate a thread switching mechanism, and the full bobbin is switched to the vacant bobbin 30 of the bobbin holder 5'. Accordingly, no slack of the thread occurs during switching and the success rate is improved.
