PURPOSE: To obtain a clear three-dimensional picture having a high picture quality by providing an auxiliary shutter means which changes the shutter effect of a main shutter so that discontinuous right-eye and left-eye images are projected.

CONSTITUTION: A rotating loop film feed mechanism, a light source, and a projection lens assembly are provided. This mechanism is provided with a stator 24 having an aperture 26, a rotor 22 which is cooperated with the stator 24 to form a passage for a film 20 and has a space where the film loop is received, and at least one main shutter 36 which is connected to the rotor 22 and connects the gap for the purpose of intercepting light from the light source projected through the aperture 26 at the time of rotation or the rotor 22. The auxiliary shutter means is provided which changes the shutter effect of the main shutter 36 for the purpose of terminating projecting of light passing a pair of images before that start of projection of light passing the next pair of continuous images. As the result, separated images for right eye and left eye are projected. Thus, a clear three-dimensional picture having a high picture quality is obtained.
