To provide a three-dimensional shape-position quality evaluation system that is incorporated into a manufacturing process or the like to evaluate the three-dimensional shape-position quality of all products at high speeds, and to provide a method of the same.
A system for evaluating the three-dimensional shape-position quality of an object to be evaluated includes: a jig 8 for setting the object to be evaluated; a coordinate reference object 9, disposed in a predetermined position in the object to be evaluated, which has three planes; a laser sensor 10 that simultaneously measures the respective three-dimensional coordinates of the object to be evaluated and the three planes of the coordinate reference object 9; a robot 11 that conveys the laser sensor 10 to the predetermined position in the object to be evaluated; a control device 12 that controls operation of the robot 11; and a data processing apparatus 15 that uses the coordinate reference object 9 as a coordinate reference to perform a coordinate conversion on measured data on the object to be evaluated and the coordinate reference object 9 as measured by the laser sensor 10, and that performs the processing for calculating a deviation between the measured data after the coordinate conversion and CAD data representing the design shape of the object to be evaluated.
