Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a means for automating superposing display and the retriev al of similar structure from a data base and efficiently executing work such as the comparison of structure and retrieval of similar structure in the structure analysis of a chemical substance or protein in respect to a three-dimensional structure processor for superposing the three-dimensional structure of two substances and extracting similar parts.
CONSTITUTION: In the case of allowing respective elements in two sets of points forming three-dimensional structure to correspond to each other, a combination generating processing means 14 generates a combination of elements satisfying a prescribed condition and a superposition calculating processing means 15 calculates a superposing method reducing the average value of mean-square distances of respective points in the combination. At the time of retrieval, a similarity calculating processing means 16 automatically searches similar structure reducing the average value of mean-square distances of respective points from a data base 21.
