Title:
THREE-PHASE BALANCING UNIT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3237406
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To eliminate the need of harmonic compensation by extracting a basic wave component free from harmonic component from a detected three- phase AC current through a filter and then detecting the reverse phase component of fundamental wave through a three-phase/two-phase conversion circuit and a two-phase/three-phase conversion circuit using the three-phase basic wave AC current thus extracted.
CONSTITUTION: Band-pass filters 11-13 extract the fundamental wave components iuf, ivf, iwf from a three-phase AC current detected through a current detector. A three-phase/two-phase conversion circuit 2 converts the positive phase component of the fundamental wave into a DC and a rotating coordinate transforming circuit 3 converts the reverse phase component 9 of the fundamental wave into a double frequency component. High-pass filters 41, 42 extract the reverse phase component of the fundamental wave which is then converted into three- phase by a rotating coordinate inverse transforming circuit 5 and a two-phase/ three-phase conversion circuit 6 thus detecting the reverse phase component of the fundamental wave. Since the harmonic compensation is not required, the capacity required as a balancing unit can be determined easily.
