PURPOSE: To obtain a three-roll type rolling mill capable of easily coping with the change of a material size by supporting, movably adjustably with respect to a pass line, the axial centers of three rolls arranged in the same vertical plane for forming at the center a caliber having a desired cross section.
CONSTITUTION: The positions of rolls 1-1W1-3 after grinding are adjusted so as to form a prescribed caliber diameter, and a transmission axis 4 to the roll and a main driving axis 11 connected directly to a reducer 6 are joined together by a universal coupling 10. And a whole inner stand 2 is slanted by the same angle α in the main body of a rolling mill, and a taper liner 12 is inserted between them to fix the stand 2 to the mill body. Further, in minute adjustment, the positions of the roll 1 and the roll axis 8 are adjusted by an eccentric ring 14 used for retaining the outer circumference of a bearing 13 for the axs 8. On the other hand, the relative position between both bevel gears 7 for transmitting a torque is deviated by moving the axis 8, then said positions are adjusted to the gear 7 positions suitable to the distance between the roll axes by adjusting spacer rings 16, 17 mounted on the axis 8.
