Abstract:

To guarantee accurate throttle control regardless of aging changes by learning the reference learning value based on the throttle opening sensor signal before a throttle actuator is driven, and updating the reference position learning value when the control quantity of an ISC control device lies outside the prescribed range.

The ECU 10 of a throttle control device 100 receives the output signals of an accelerator opening sensor 11, an engine speed sensor 12, a water temperature sensor 13, and an air quantity sensor 14 and judges whether the vehicle speed is the prescribed value or above when the prerequisite for learning control is satisfied. The ECU 10 updates the learning limit reference value when the vehicle speed is the prescribed value or above and substitutes the present learning value as the learning limit reference value. The ECU 10 judges whether the learning implementation condition is continuously satisfied for the prescribed time or longer. If the judged result is YES, the ECU 10 judges whether the present is the learning implementation timing or not. The ECU 10 executes the learning processing routine at the prescribed timing then clears a counter counting the learning implementation timing.
