To provide a throw-away tip which prevents damage of a machined surface caused by chips, carries out machining of a workpiece material with high accuracy, and achieves miniaturization thereof, and to provide a cutting tool equipped with the throw-away tip.

According to the structure of the throw-away tip, a first cutting edge 13a and a second cutting edge 13b are integrally formed with a tip 10 main body, and therefore positioning of the first and second cutting edges 13a, 13b to the workpiece material 15 is dispensed with. As a result, there are brought about advantages of easy positioning of the tip 10 compared with positioning of a tip of a conventional technique, reduction of working steps, and miniaturization of the tip. Further by forming cutting faces 20a, 20b of the cutting edges 13a, 13b of the tip 10 so as to have a phase difference therebetween in a main moving direction, chips produced by the cutting edges 13a, 13b are separated from each other by a portion between the cutting faces 20a, 20b, and the chips are successively discharged via a groove portion.
