Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the change of a reamer diameter when making a back taper adjustment in providing a throwaway reamer with a fine adjustment mechanism for the reamer diameter and back taper.
SOLUTION: A receiving part 7 counterbored in sector shape is formed at the tip part of a reamer body 2 to enclose a presser piece 6 therein, and a cutting edge tip 5 is formed to be pressure-fixed by clamping the presser piece 6 by a clamp screw 14. The push-out quantity in the outer peripheral direction of the cutting edge tip 5 is determined by an adjusting screw 17. The back face 12 of the presser piece 6 and the sector face of the receiving part 7 are formed as circular curved faces of the same radius R around the outermost diameter point P of a reamer diameter to allow micro rotary movement, and the movement is locked by a locking screw 20.
