To provide a thrust slide bearing of light weight with a low height and with a number of constituent components curtailed, capable of preventing an annular plate from being deformed while reducing occurrence of abnormal sound due to a relative rotation of a piston rod, even if a large force is applied to the annular plate via the piston rod, while preventing intrusion of foreign matters and the like from outside onto a sliding surface.
There is disclosed a thrust slide bearing 1 including: a synthetic resin made bearing body 2 having an annular upper surface 5 serving as a sliding surface; an annular metal plate 4 supported on the annular upper surface 5 in a manner capable of relatively rotating in the circumferential direction R around an axis O with respect to the bearing body 2; and an annular cover 3 disposed so as to cover the annular upper surface 5 and the annular metal plate 4. The annular metal plate 4 is formed integrally with an outer disc section 43, equipped with an inner disc section disposed at the through-hole of the annular cover 3. The inner disc section also functions as an reinforcement part (rib) of the outer disc section.
