Abstract:

To fit the position of the thumb hook of a ball catching means for baseball or softball perfectly to the length of the thumb of a user of the ball catching means by making the thumbs hook adjustable in the direction of insertion of a thumb into a thumb pocket.

The thumb hook 3 is provided at one end with a binding lace 31 and at the other end with an adjusting lace 32 and a guide hole 33 to insert a guide 4. The guide 4 is inserted into the guide hole 33, and then both the ends of the guide are fastened to palm leather 5. The binding lace 31 and the adjusting lace 32 are taken out of the back leather 6 of the thumb pocket 2 through the holes 61, 62, and 63 in the back leather 6 so that the laces can be freely tied.
