PURPOSE: To obtain a thumbtack that can fix even low-strength very thin paper and a vinyl even if the tack is inserted obliquely, or a bulletin board is not flat or so hard that the tack cannot pierce.

CONSTITUTION: An elastic body 3 is adhered to the side of a pin 2 in the head 1. When a thumbtack is pierced, the elastic body 3 changes its shape as if to conform to the condition of the contact surface, thereby pressing an object intended for display against a large area. Thus, the effect as mentioned above is obtained. In other embodiments, higher thickness of the elastic body 3 makes an extraction of the thumbtack easier.
