Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a cutting guide having a main body to be equipped with and aligned by controlling a cutting guide surface with use of a rear femur condyle-observing guide. CONSTITUTION: A cutting guide 10 is fixed adjustably to a handle 22 of an intramedullary alignment guide 21 by using two facing screws 16, 18 which sit in screwed holes of the main body 12 and which clamp flat surfaces 23, 24. An objective line 106 to be cut is parallel to a line 80 on the same line as lower edges of observating studs 82, 84. By respective pair of the observating studs, a surgeon can align the cutting guide 10 at a suitable position against the rear femur condyle. Cutting guides 100, 102, 105 are selected for receiving a cutting device, for example, a vibrative saw blade. The surgeon can observe the observing stud against the ankle and cut the ankle by using the cutting guide arranged on the main body 12.
