PURPOSE: To provide excellent durability, decorative properties, and workability and to prevent tiles from floating under strong wind by a method wherein a lock fitment and a nail hole are formed in a tile head part, lock holes are formed in a rotation preventing part to hook the lock fitment and a tile and a rear part, and a side lap is formed on the side part of a tile.
CONSTITUTION: A tile is fixed from the obverse side of a tile head part 1b of a lower tile 1 through a lock fitment 5 to a roof ground 7 by means of a nail 3. In this case, the lock fitment 5 is attached in such a state to be positioned astride a rotation preventing part 8 on the surface of the tile. Rainwater is prevented from penetration by the rotation preventing part 8. A bent part 5a of the fitment 5 fixed to a lower tile 1 is inserted in a lock hole 6a formed in the surface of a tile rear part 2a of an upper tile 2. The bent part 5a has resilient force and is hardly pulled off from the lock hole 6a. The bent part is then fixed to the fitment 5. The aboves are mounted, in order, from the direction of eaves toward the direction of a ridge. This structure prevents exposure of the fitment 5 to the outside, provides excellent decorative properties, and prevents the occurrence of leakage of water through a nail holding part.
