To realize a structure capable of providing good actuating performance at the time of tilt swing of a steering column even though an arrangement direction of the steering column is apt to incline to a direction parallel with a direction orthogonal to an axis of first passing holes 39, 39 formed on a car body side bracket 4a.
A cylindrical member 44 and a bush 45 made of elastic material are arranged between an inner peripheral surface 43 of a second through hole 40 of a steering column side bracket 14a fixed to the steering column and an outer peripheral surface 42 of a tilt pivot shaft 5a. External surfaces 52, 52 of flanges 48, 48 of the bush 45 are inclined to internal surfaces 51, 51 of both support plate parts 38, 38 of the car body side bracket 4a while the inner peripheral surface 43 is inclined to the outer peripheral surface of the bush 45. An axis of the second through hole 40 can be inclined to axes of the first through holes 39, 39.
