To provide a time recorder which does not require a time card on which various kinds of date are printed.

A time recorder 10 has a card insertion port 12 provided on the upper surface of a main body 11 thereof, an LED display unit 14 for displaying time and the like provided in the upper front portion of the main body 11, and an execution button K3 for printing a date which is provided in an intermediate portion on the front surface of the main body 11. After the execution button K3 is pressed, a blank time card on which the date is not yet printed is inserted into the card insertion port 12 and the date is printed on one side, the time recorder provides display for urging a user to turn the card over and insert it again.
