PURPOSE: To provide the titled device capable of shortening the time of one cycle operation, or lengthening the time of supplying coal, by providing each of two parallel coal charging cars capable of traveling freely one by one with a hopper capable of contg. coal in at least an amt. of charging into each of oven chambers.

CONSTITUTION: A pair of charging openings 10 are provided in the wall at the throat of each oven chamber 1, respectively. Two parallel coal charging cars 3, 3 are equipped for traveling freely one by one. A pair of hoppers 2 capable of contg. coal in at least an amt. of charging into each one of oven chambers 1 are installed to coal charging cars 3, 3, respectively, for charging coal into two oven chambers 1 in parallel using coal charging cars 3, 3 on both sides. It is possible to shorten the time of one cycle operation, or lengthen the time of supplying coal into oven chambers while preventing the time of one cycle operation from extending.
