PURPOSE: To produce a carrier having a good coating layer property by a heat treatment at a low temp. by coating a resin on a carrier core in a suspended state.
CONSTITUTION: A compsn. consisting at least of a polymer having a cross-linkable functional group at the side chain and a cross-linking agent that can be cross-linked to said polymer is coated on a carrier core material dispersed and suspended in a liquid or gas and the coating layer is cross-linked. The polymer having the cross-linkable functional group at the side chain is a polymer which can make the coating layer three-dimensional by cross-linking. A polymer selected from copolymers consisting of ≥2 kinds of monomers contg. monomers having the cross-linkable functional group at the side chain is used for said polymer. Acrylic acid, 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate, glycidyl methacrylate, methacrylamide, ureide ethyl vinyl ether, etc. are used for the monomers.
