Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a crucible capable of directly drawing a fiber from molten glass.
CONSTITUTION: The objective double crucible 1 is composed of an outer crucible 4 and an inner crucible 3. A pipe-formed outer nozzle 2a is attached to the bottom of the outer crucible 4 and an inner nozzle 2b is placed in the outer nozzle. The top of the inner nozzle is connected to the bottom of the inner crucible 3 to form a double nozzle 2. The double nozzle is provided with a precision temperature controller 6.
