Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve abrasion resistance without impairing freeness or wire making properties by arranging weft yarns in the two upper and lower layers, using polyamide yarns and polyester yarns in the weft yarns in the lower layer and weaving both yarns in respective specific states. CONSTITUTION:Weft yarns in a number of nX2 (n is an integer of >=7) are respectively arranged in the two upper and lower layers and polyamide yarns and polyester yarns are arranged in the weft yarns in the lower layer. In a complete design figure, marks O indicate positions where the warp yarns interweave the weft yarns on the running surface and marks X indicate positions where the warp yarns interweave the weft yarns on the paper making surface. The polyester weft yarn 1' in the lower layer is interwoven twice in the weave with warp yarns 5 and 13 to form short crimps. Long crimps are formed between knucles formed by interweaving the polyamide weft yarn 2' in the lower layer with the warp yarns 5 and 3.
