PURPOSE: To obtain a printing cylinder washing apparatus having a simple structure, reduced in equipment cost because no wide space is required and the exhaust quantity of a vacuum device is reduced and power consumption is reduced and easy in maintenance.
CONSTITUTION: A washing head 3 is constituted of a washing case 9 having a suction port 8 provided to the upper part thereof and a wind box 10. The washing case 9 is divided into front and rear parts 11, 12 with respect to the rotary direction of a printing cylinder 1 and a washing member 13 is provided to the front part 11 while a lip 14 composed of an elastic member is provided to the rear part 12. Upper and lower slits 15, 16 having proper gaps are formed between the lip 14 and the front part 11 and under the rear part 12 to communicate with a wind box 10. A washing soln. is supplied to a washing member 13 from a supply port 18 through a supply nozzle 19 to perform washing.
