Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide a graphite material for a nuclear reactor having improved oxidation resistance and not deteriorating the characteristics of the reactor. CONSTITUTION:Boron added graphite has improved oxidation resistance but deteriorates the characteristics of a nuclear reactor owing to <10>B present in ordinary boron. A graphite material obtd. by adding <11>B having a much smaller thermal neutron absorption area than <10>B is an oxidation resistant graphite material not deteriorating the characteristics of the reactor and can adbantageously be used for the reactor.
