Title:
METHOD FOR SEPRATING SOLDERING FLUX FROM DETERGENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0782594
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prolong the lute of a detergent used for cleaning soldered electronic parts and reduce the amt. of a waste liq. disposed of as an industrial waste by removing a soldering flux dissolved in the detergent after the detergent is used for cleaning the parts.

CONSTITUTION: A glycol ether detergent in a vessel 1 is circulated by opening a valve 5 and by running a pump 7. In the detergent in the vessel 1 are immersed printed circuit boards after soldered to remove a soldering flux from the boards. Almost all the soldering flux dissolved in the detergent is absorbed by a cross-linked acrylic polymer in a column 6, and the detergent from which the flux has been removed flows through an outlet port 3 into the vessel 1. When the vol. of the polymer reaches the vol. of the column 6, it is replaced by a new one. Thus, the concn. of the flux dissolved in the detergent in the vessel 1 is always kept low, enabling the repeated use of the detergent as far as the degradation of it does not occur.
