Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a method to obtain a high-quality halogenated metallocene compound in a high yield and a simple and safe process and apparatus.

CONSTITUTION: The method for producing a halogenated metallocene compound expressed by the formula [(Cp) m-M-Xn (Cp is a cyclopentadienyl compound; M is a metal element; X is a halogen element; 1≤(m)≤4; 0≤(n)≤3] is characterized by providing a process for reacting a metal halide compound with a cyclopentadienyl compound at 0-160°C in a solvent containing ethylene glycol dimethyl ethers and amines and a process for cleaning the reactional product with an aliphatic alcohol.
