PURPOSE: To provide novel phenylimidazolidine derivatives useful as inhibitors against platelet aggregation, carcinomatous metastases and osteoclast binding to the bone surfaces.
CONSTITUTION: The compound of formula I [wherein Y represents -(H2)n-CO (wherein (m) is 1 to 4) or the like; (r) is 0 to 3; Z represents O or S; W represents hydroxy, a 1-28C alkoxy or the like; R1 represents -(CH2)n-NH-X (wherein (n) is 0 to 3; X represents X, a 1-6C alkyl or the like) or the like; R and R2 are each H or a 1-6C alkyl; R3 represents H or a (substituted) phenyl; R4 represents H, -COOR5 (R5 represents H or a 1-28C alkyl) or the like], for example, (5-(4-guanidinophenyl)-2,4-dioxoimidazolidine-3-yl)-acetyl-L-asparty-L- phenylglycine, is obtained by reacting a compound of formula II with a compound of formula III.
