Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make paper feed pressure of a sheet stacking device approximately constant so as to enable stable paper feed.
CONSTITUTION: A sheaf of sheets is stored in a cassette 1 in such a state that the sheet tip part comes in contact with a front reference plate 12 in the cassette 1. At the time of feeding the sheets, the front reference plate 12 moves in the direction of being separated from the sheet tip part by a driving means (stopper) 15. Accordingly, there is no contact action between the sheet tip part and front reference plate 12, so that the resistance of the front reference plate 12 to the sheets is reduced to enable stable paper feed.
