PURPOSE: To automatically perform the input/output control of image information without performing key input operations by providing an operation sheet describing operation contents for the input/output control of the image information and an identification code for each operation and reading the identification code corresponding to each operation of the operation sheet by using a code reading means.

CONSTITUTION: On an operation sheet 30, an explanation part 31 for each process or each mode for an operation procedure to retrieve the image information and identification codes 32 corresponding to operations for starting these respective processes or modes are written. As the identification codes 32, font for OCR, bar code and 'CALRA' code or the like can be used. When the identification code 32 is read by a code reader 23 or an OCR scanner, a CPU 13 receiving the reading signal automatically performs control for starting the correspondent process or mode.
