Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the same identification display method as that of an simple network management protocol(SNMP) management object with respect to a non SNMP management object in the network management device using the SNMP for a management protocol. SOLUTION: A non SNMP management object monitor section 13 collects a state of non SNMP management objects via a proxy agent. An identifier of a management object is a local address and the same as an index of a management information base(MIB). When the non SNMP management object monitor section 13 detects a state change in the management object, whether or not a state change is an object of a trap notice is checked. When the state change is the object of trap notice, whether or not a local address of the management object is included in an alias of a host of a host name /IP address conversion file 21 is retrieved and the host name and the IP address corresponding to the alias are acquired. The corresponding IP address is set to an 'agent- address' section of the SNMP trap and it is informed to the SNMP trap processing section 14 as a state change trap of the non SNMP management object.
