PURPOSE: To provide a force detection apparatus by which a force can be detected precisely even when an ambient temperature is changed and whose responsivity is excellent.
CONSTITUTION: A force detection apparatus is provided with a fixation stand 11, with an elastic plate 12 a part of which is fixed to the fixation stand and with a detection circuit 14 a part of which is connected to the elastic plate. The elastic plate 12 is composed of a ceramic material having a bendable property. The detection circuit 14 is composed of a bridge circuit provided with a strain-gage resistance element R11 which is fixed and bonded to the surface of the elastic plate 12 and whose resistance value is changed by a strain and with resistance elements R12, R13, R14 connected to the strain-gage resistance element so as to detect a change in resistance values of the strain-gage resistance elements R12, R13, R14 as a change in voltages. At least one out of the resistance elements R12, R13, R14 is formed of the same material as the strain- gage resistance element R11 on the surface of the elastic plate.
