Abstract:
PURPOSE:To automatically form a dictionary by preparing the appearance frequency distribution of pattern feature points by preparing many samples, normalizing respective frequencies of the distribution and registering the normalized values as membership values. CONSTITUTION:Many samples are prepared for a certain pattern 1, the pattern 1 is inputted in each sample by the optical scanning of a scanning circuit 2 to extract a contour picture element group and respective contour picture element groups are coupled to extract a vector connecting adjacent picture elements. The appearance frequency of each feature point is found out by a feature point extracting circuit 4 in each mesh position in a mesh space and the appearance frequency distribution is formed by an appearance frequency distribution forming device 5. The found feature point appearance frequency distribution is normalized, the normalized value is used as a membership value and registered in a dictionary storage part in each pattern as a fuzzy dictionary, and the reference number of feature points is registered in each pattern. Consequently, the dictionary can be automatically formed.
