Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve rigidity and lighten a weight by, at an FRP racing boat, combining a deck member to the upper side of an outer board member of U shape in cross section and bonding to the deck member and the outer board member the upper and lower surfaces of floating bodies at the center of the boat width direction of the deck portions of a bow portion and a stern portion. CONSTITUTION:A boat body is formed out of an outer board member 2 made of FRP and of U shape in cross section and a deck member 3. The bow portion and stern portion of the deck member 3 are respectively formed in reverse V shapes in cross section and both end portions of these are put upon the outer board member 2 and bent together downward, and the two are bonded and fixed. And, at the bow and stern portions, floating bodies 40 made up of plastic foaming material are arranged in the center portion of a boat width direction. And a reinforcing stick material 6 is fitted by means of FRP weather-stripping material 60 in the direction of a boat length at the center of the upper end of the floating body 40, and the upper surface of the floating body 40 is bonded to the deck member 3. Also, the lower surface is bonded to the bottom portion of the outer board member 2. By this constitution, it is possible to improve the rigidity of a boat and at the same time lighten its weight.
