PURPOSE: To improve electrification resistance of a cathode-ray tube as well as wear resistance, adhesiveness and durability of a coating film by applying a hardening resin composition containing an organic Si compound and a nonionic system surface-active agent on the surface to be hardened thereafter.
CONSTITUTION: A hardening resin composition containing the following A and B is applied on the surface of a cathode-ray tube to be hardened thereafter. A: the following a, b, c, d or e. a: a compound denoted by the formula I or its hydrolysis product, b: the compound denoted by the formula I or its hydrolysis product and metal oxide fine powder having the grain diameter 1W100mμ, c: the compound denoted by the formula I or its hydrolysis product and the compound denoted by the formula II or its hydrolysis product, d: the compound denoted by the formula I and its hydrolysis product, metal oxide fine powder having the grain diameter 1W100mμ and the compound denoted by the formula II or its hydrolysis product, e: the compound denoted by the formula II and its hydrolysis product and the compound denoted by the formula III or its hydrolysis product. B denotes one kind or more of the following a' and b'. a': one kind or more of nonionic system surface-active agents containing polydimethylsiloxane and polyethyleneoxide. b': one kind or more of nonionic system surface-active agents containing perfluoroalkyl and polyethyleneoxide.
