Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:A compound of formula I [R<1> is H, 1-4C alkyl, 2-4C alkenyl, benzyl, phenyl, alkali metal, etc.; R<2> is H, halogen, 1-4C (halo)alkyl, formyl, cyano, nitro, etc.; Z<1> and Z<2> are each O, S or imino; A is of formula II (X is halogen, 1-4C alkyl, etc.; l is 0-5), (substituted) naphthyl, furyl, etc.; B is of formula III (Y<1> is halogen, 1-4C alkyl, etc.; m is 0-5), etc.] EXAMPLE:3-(2-Fluoro-4-chlorophenyl)-6-(2-fluorophenyl)-2,4(1H,3H)-pyri midine dione. USE:A pest controlling agent, herbicide. PREPARATION:A compound of formula IV (R<2> is 1-6C alkyl, etc.) is reacted with ammonia in the presence of acetic acid, and an iso(thio)cyanate, etc., is reacted with the product in the presence of a base, thus obtaining the objective compound of the formula I (where, R<1> is H; Z<2> is 0).
