Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain the subject cloth, composed of a specific construction, useful as joints, etc., for connecting skins to spar members of aircraft into the shape of T, capable of exhibiting great resistance to in-plane shearing force applied in the longitudinal direction of the joints and advantageous to reduction of weight without requiring reinforcement. CONSTITUTION:The objective cloth, composed of a pair of cloth parts having branched parts continuous in the longitudinal direction and at least one surface in <=3 surfaces extending from the aforementioned branched parts joined thereat, obliquely running and joining the pair or cloth parts in mutual opposite directions. Specifically, e.g. cloth parts (12a), (12b), (12a), (12b), (13a), (13b), (13a) and (13b) mutually obliquely running in branched parts 11 and 11 formed on both sides of a transverse stretching part 10 and forming a pair are joined to form extended parts 12 and 12 and spar member nipping parts 13 and 13. Furthermore, the angle at which the paired cloth parts are obliquely run is preferably 45 deg. toward the longitudinal direction of the cloth.
