Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent the reshrinkage in a sliver, by inserting a porous pipe in a can for accommodating the sliver obtained by hot-drawing and stretch-breaking a tow previously, and supplying air to the porous pipe to cool the sliver in accommodating the sliver in the can.
CONSTITUTION: A porous pipe 13 is previously inserted in a can 11 for accommodating a sliver (S) obtained by hot-drawing and stretch-breaking a chemical filamentary tow, and air is supplied to the porous pipe 13 by a blowing fan 14 to cool the sliver (S) in accommodating the sliver (S) in the can 11. Thus, the occurrence of reshrinkage in the sliver (S) is prevented.
