Abstract:
A continuous-paper electrostatic printer that is capable of preventing paper wastage caused by allowing paper to be needlessly fed to the electrostatic printing section when there is no data to be printed. This is done by providing the paper cutting means downstream of the paper holder and ensuring that in such cases paper is not transported upstream of the cutting means and by ejecting cut paper in the system at that time.
