Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly accurately manage a winding angle by measuring differences in level between a sensing roll and front and rear line rolls with a level gage provided with a micrometer head respectively and managing the winding angle on the basis thereof. SOLUTION: A sensing roll 4 is provided between line rolls 2, 3 for carrying a steel strip 1 to measure tension thereof, and downward load received from the steel strip 1 of the roll 4 is detected with a load cell 6. A winding angle of the steel strip 1 for the roll 4 therefrom, a load cell-measured value of the load cell 6 and the tension of the steel strip 1 are calculated with an operation processing means. Here, difference in level between the roll 4 and the front and rear rolls 2, 3 are measured with a level gage 10 provided with a micrometer head 14 respectively, and the winding angle is managed on the basis of the measured difference in level. Thus, installation precision of the roll 4 can be measured in a micron unit, and accurate measurement is made possible at low cost.
