Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the production of a highly flowable rapid-hardening cement mix material that has high flowability at the time of placing it and thereafter is set immediately and can be released from the mold by adding a specific superplasticizer to the paste, mortar or concrete, each of which has rapid hardening properties.

CONSTITUTION: Each of the paste, mortar and concrete which has rapidhardening properties is obtained by using a super rapid-hardening cement contg. 11CaO.7 Al2O3.CaX2, wherein X is a halogen, as the rapid-hardening component or by adding a 2 to 25wt.% rapid setting agent such as an alkali aluminate, etc., to Portland cement or a mixed cement. The superplasticizer consisting of a polycarboxylic acid and/or its salt represented by the formula wherein R is an alkali metal or hydrogen atom; x is 0.4 to 0.6; n is 2 to 300, is added to the paste, mortar or concrete having rapid-hardening properties in an amount of 0.1 to 10wt.% based on the weight of the cement.
