Title:
FUEL CELL SYSTEM WITH HIGH FUNCTION REACTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0645000
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable a simple and low-cost fuel cell system to be constructed so as to reduce a heat release loss by using a high function reactor in which functions of a reformer, a CO transformer, a desulfurizer and a plurality of a heat exchanger for good heat balance are integrated together.

CONSTITUTION: Raw material gas enters from a raw material gas header 10 into a high function reactor 10 after becoming confluent with a part of gas including much hydrogen, passes a desulfurizing catalyzer layer 10c and a reforming catalyzer layer 10b to be reformed and enters into an internal turning header 10m. The turned reformed gas flows out of the reforming gas header 10j through a heat conductive particle layer 10e and a CO transformer catalyzer layer 10d. On the other hand, burning gas enters from a combustion gas header 10g, burns on the burning catalyzer layer 10e to obtain high temperature necessary for the reaction, transmits the heat to a catalyzer layer 10b and 10c on both sides, and flows out through the heat conductive particles layer 10e and an exhaust gas header 10h. Cooling water enters from a cooling water inlet header 10k and flows out of a cooling header 101 through a cooling path. Power generation is made possible by receiving the raw gas including sulfur component and hydrogen and water vapor from the header 10i.
