Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:A compound of formulaI(n is an interger 5W12; R is H or methyl).
EXAMPLE: 5-(Meth)acryloyloxypentyl dihydrogenphosphate.
USE: A dental adhesive, capable of exhibiting improved water-resistant adhesive force to a metal and the tooth, and widely usable as adhesive monomers in structural adhesives, coating materials for a metal, metallic surface treating agents, etc.
PROCESS: An alkylene diol of formula II is esterified with (meth)acrylic acid to give a diol mono(meth)acrylate, which is then reacted with phosphorus oxychloride. The P-Cl bond in the resultant compound is then hydrolyzed to afford the compound of formulaI.
