Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent damage of a protective layer due to temp. change, by providing a cermet layer continuously changing composition between a photorecording layer and a ceramic protective layer.

CONSTITUTION: A tellurium photorecording layer 2 is formed on an acrylic resin base plate 1, and a protective layer 4 of silicon monooxide with a cermet layer 3 made of tellurium and silicon monooxide interposed. The cermet layer 3 is prepared by control in such a manner that after the formation of the tellurium layer 2 an amount of tellurium vapor deposited is gradually decreased to zero and an amount of silicon monooxide vapor deposited is gradually increased from zero.
