Title:
HARD AU ALLOY TIP MATERIAL JOINED TO SUBSTRATE MEMBER AND USED
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6052540
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the titled hard Au alloy tip material with superior wear resistance by adding a specified amount of Cr to Au and forming a hardened layer on the surface by boriding.
CONSTITUTION: An Au alloy tip material having a composition consisting of 0.5W15wt% Cr and the balance Au with inevitable impurities is borided to form a hardened layer on the surface. To the composition may be added 3W35wt% Ag and/or Cu, and/or 1W10wt% one or two among Ni, Fe, Co and Pd. A tip material with superior wear resistance, corrosion resistance and electric conductivity is obtd. The tip material is joined to the wire of a dot printer or the like.
