PURPOSE: To prevent the occurrence of trouble in a presser by using one touch roll to exclude air brought in with a web, thereby preventing creases or slip of the wind in rolling a long film or sheet round a take-up shaft of a web winder.
CONSTITUTION: A web W is a PET film which is 1m in width, 100μm in thickness and 1,700m in length. A web winder is adapted to take up the web at a winding speed of 100m/min. The long web W is rolled counter-clockwise round a take-up shaft 11 by power. A touch roll 12 is fixed to the forward end portion of a dancer lever 14 pivoted on a dancer shaft 13, and the touch roll 12 is pressed to the surface of the roll of the web rolled round the take-up shaft 11 through the lever 14 by a cylinder 15. A pneumatic or hydraulic cylinder 15 is used for pressing the touch roll.
