Abstract:
PURPOSE: To simplify the mechanism of regulating register by a method in which two slant direction register marks and a horizontal direction register mark are formed on one side of each color plate and detected by a detector.
CONSTITUTION: Error of register is adjusted by using register marks 2, 3, and 4 provided on one side of the plate 1, a reference position (X-X line), and a detection line (Y-Y line) by a light projecting and receiving device. Upper and lower registers are regulated by a distance FG and left and right-handed registers are regulated by a distance GH. Torsional register is regulated by a distance HI. The arrangement of the detector of register marks only on one side is sufficient enough.
