PURPOSE: To provide an aligning apparatus which can reliably advance an article between guide members by regularly staggering the mutual projection phase of adjoining stirring members to move each stirring member in a wave motion to reduce the generation of a bridge phenomenon.

CONSTITUTION: A stirring member 5 is pivoted on a support shaft 6, the lower end of the main part 5a thereof directing downward substantially perpendicularly being provided with a pressure blade 7 for pressing a bottle (c). A cam follower 8 is pivoted on the upper should portion of the main part 5a, and a cam 9 engaged with the cam follower 8 is rotatably mounted just on the cam follower. The cam 9 and the cam follower 8 are always brought into contact with each other by a spring 11 stretched between the upper subsidiary part 5b of the stirring member 5 and a fixed frame 10. When the cam 9 is turned, the stirring member 5 is moved by its engagement with the cam follower 8, so that the pressure blade 7 is periodically projected to press the bottle (c) repeatedly. Each phase of adjoining stirring members is staggered regularly to move in a wave motion.
