Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make the structure strong by providing a strut to the inside of a cassette half and providing a fitting part that fits to the strut to the inside of another cassette half. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic tape 8 is loaded between two reels 6, 7 along the front face of a cassette case 5. In the longer half 3, a columnar strut 9 is formed near the back side in the center of inside. In the upper half 2, a cylindrical fitting part 10 is formed to the inside at a position corresponding to the strut 9. The diameter of the strut 9 and the inner diameter of the fitting part 10 is so determined that the strut 9 is somewhat pressed into the fitting part 10 and fitted without leaving space. These tightly fitted strut 9 and fitting part 10 function to suppress the movement of upper and lower halves 2, 3 in the direction to deviate from each other. Accordingly, upper and lower halves 2, 3 are combined in the state that the movement in the direction to deviate from each other is restrained. Consequently, even when torsional force acts on the tape cassette 1, upper and lower halves 2, 3 do not cause the deviation. Thus, the structure becomes very strong against torsion.
