PURPOSE: To prepare steamed and roasted powder of snapping turtle showing improved effect on anemia, hypotension, pancreatic diseases, diabetes, etc., having improved digestibility and absorbability free from a bitter taste, by squeezing fully blood from a snapping turtle, removing its gallbladder, roasting it at a specific temperature.
CONSTITUTION: A healthy snapping turtle is put in a slightly warm water at about 20°C for about 30min, blood is squeezed completely, the main body is separated from the shell, the gallbladder and the oil attached to it are quickly removed from the main body, and the sheel is again integrated with the main body, they are put in a drying oven, dried at about 180°C for about 8hr, preserved in a tea box for about one month, and exposed to a proper humidity. They are put in the drying oven, roasted at about 200°C for about 45W60min, the gallbladder which is separated from the internal organ and dried naturally at about 20°C is added to the roasted shell and the main body of snapping turtle, which are sent to a crusher and powdered.
