Abstract:

Novel uracils of the formula I wherein R1 is selected from the group consisting of alkyl of 1 to 8 carbon atoms, alkoxy of 1 to 8 carbon atoms, halogen and -C(Hal)3, Hal is halogen and R2 is hydrogen or R1 and R2 taken together with the benzene ring to which they are attached form a system of two coupled rings optionally containing at least one heteroatom having selective herbicidal activity.
