PURPOSE: To simplify processing without neglecting the process for recovering a waste toner, by moving the waste toner storage device of the body of a device from the home position in said body to the position except the home position cooperatively with the opening motion of the opening/closing door of the body.

CONSTITUTION: A waste toner storage device 13 turns and advances in a direction B up to the home position defined by a stopper 18 on the bottom of a body while the side end of a case 20 is oscillated around a shaft 15 by the effect of a spring 16 is contact with a corrugated member 21 as an opening door 12 is opened. The pile of the waste toner piled up in a bottle 19 is collapsed by the oscillation thereof and is thus leveled off, whereby the overflow of the toner can be prevented. On the other hand, the door 12 remains without closed unless the device 13 is pushed in manually as shown by a chain line and therefore the neglection of the process for recovering the waste toner is obviated. The recovery of the waste toner is accomplished easily by opening the door 12 further largely and pulling the bottle 19 in the side face (a) direction of the case 20.
